Class Rules
Remember the Three Rs:

Responsibility for all your actions

Absences/Late Work
• Upon absence, it is the responsibility of the student to check the Class Agenda for all missed materials, notes, and assignments.
• Students involved in extra-curricular activities are responsible for gathering all missed materials and completing all missed assignments by the next class period.
• Points will be deducted daily from late work. Ten points per day will be deducted for up to five school days. If the assignment is not turned in within one week, the student will be assigned to ZAP to complete the missing assignment(s).

Required Class Materials
1 in. binder 5 dividers
Pens (blue/black ink) Notebook paper
Highlighters (5 colors)
*Students are expected to bring these supplies to class every day.

Grading Policy
25% Book Tests 25% Daily Work
25% Projects 25% Tests

AR/Book Test Policy
Students are required to read an instructor approved novel each six weeks and pass an AR generated test. If a student fails an AR test, he/she may read another book and take another test BEFORE the original AR Deadline, and I will record the higher of the two grades as the test grade. If the student doesn’t attempt to take another test, he/she will receive the original grade. Students ARE NOT allowed to take an AR test after the set deadline.
