The children will need to learn many high frequency words. These are words that they use frequently when talking, will see frequently when reading, and will need frequently when writing. We will make a word wall with these words as they learn them. Then they will need to be able to find words that they need to use. We will be playing word wall games to help them do that. We have started learning high frequency words. So far, we have worked on a, blue, I, red, yellow, can, look, my, at, and, see, the, is, it, in, big, have, little, like, not, do, to, you, that. We are not learning any new high frequency words this week since we are doing our Benchmark Testing for the end of the first six weeks. |
