Well, we have working very hard this year and it is not over yet. We are still working on the different strategies in Reading and Math. Please encourage you child to use these stategies. It is very important that the students use these stategies when they read and do math.

I wanted to let you know some of the upcoming events. May the 2nd is the Cowboy cookout. We will be eating at our regular time (11:25). On May 6th is the Camp-Read-Along. Please let me know if you plan on attending these events. The cafeteria need a count of how many hamburgers (Cowboy Cookout) and hot dogs (Camp-Read-Along) need to be cooked.

In Reading - We are learning to be better and more fluent readers. We are also reviewing the different skill that have been taught during the school year. Sequencing, main idea, summary, steps in a process, and context clues are just a few of the skills. We are using a variety of different stories that target these skills. Please make sure that you continue to READ READ READ with your child. Reading is a part of ALL subjects.

In Social Studies - We are learning about Texas.

In Science - We are learning about the seasons and weather.

In Math - We are working on addition and subtraction using three digit numbers.

Please continue working with your child at home.
