Mission Statement
“As proud members of The Pride of Breckenridge, we will act as leaders in and out of
uniform. We will commit ourselves to a high level of work that we can be proud of until
our goals are achieved. We will strive to maintain a positive attitude from day to day.
Through the good times and the bad, we build each other up to make what others call
a 'band', a family. We will share with others the spirit in our hearts through our passion
and love for music.”

*Maintain a positive attitude and stay encouraged.

*No electronic communication during practices or performances unless there is an emergency.
*Learn your music and your drill to the absolute best of your ability.
*Have respect for leadership and authority.
*Be punctual and prepared.
*Accept criticism with class.
*Wear the designated uniform appropriately.
*Always conduct and present ourselves in a professional manner.
*Respect all equipment.
*Be eligible for performances by passing your classes and staying out of trouble.

Leadership Team Member Expectations

*Help make the band directors’ jobs easier.
Band Director Expectations
*Have patience when a problem needs solving and be quick to fix the problem when it pops up.
*Keep it simple.
*Respect the leadership positions and trust the leaders.
*Push us to constantly out work ourselves.
2012-2013 Consequences
*Failure to meet the expectations will result in a marching lap that will be accumulative up to 5
throughout the marching season.
*A lap will consist of marching the perimeter of the practice field.
*You will have five school days to complete any laps owed.
*Laps may not be completed during rehearsal time.
*A leadership team member must not only be present when laps are completed, but must
complete the laps along with you.
*Leadership team members who earn laps will do double the normal amount and will complete
laps in the presence of a band director.
*Failure to complete the laps within the five day limit will result in the loss of a letter grade.
These grades may be earned back by completing make-up assignments / tasks designated by the
band directors.
*Students will have a choice of completing marching laps or serving D-Hall. 1 thirty minute D-
Hall will be equivalent to 1 marching lap.
*Students who are overdue on laps / D-Halls will be placed on Report Duty which will include
the following:
-----Last to be dismissed from a function.
-----Revocation of 3rd quarter break privileges.
Summer Letters
Summer letters will be mailed in July.
