This assignment was all about media - the materials you can use to make an artwork. They could draw whatever they wanted to. I asked them to "doodle", the kind of drawing they might do while talking on the telephone. After they filled their page with doodles, they folded their paper into 4 sections. They were to finish each of their sections using a different kind of media. I gave them a list of about 10 different media that they could choose from and I encouraged them to use at least one or two media that they were not familiar with. I also informed them that if they could think of another medium that they would like to use that that would be perfectly allright - after all anything can be used to make a work of art!
