My name is Mrs. Janet Dossey and I am the P.E. and Health teacher for kindergarten and 1st grade students at East Elementary. I acquired a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Tarleton State University. It is my goal for each student to learn the importance of keeping physically fit for a lifetime and to have a fun experience each day.
In order to provide the safest environment possible, I must require students to wear shoes appropriate for gym. I also require girls to wear shorts underneath dresses and skirts.
In order for a student to be excused from P.E. activities, I must have a note from a parent/guardian.
We are having a great time in P.E. Recently we learned the importance of staying DRUG FREE during RED RIBBON WEEK. We enjoyed a variety of activities including western day when we all wore western clothing and boots. We also planted red tulips with a promise to stay "drug free." We look forward to seeing the tulips bloom in spring.
