With the beginning of May, our countdown begins. This year has gone by so quickly. It seems like just a short time ago, we were beginning school.
There will be a lot going on during the month of May beginning with our 1st grade field trip to Graham to have a picnic and see a movie. Please remember that each student is to asked to bring $2.50 to help with the cost of McDonald's happy meals.

This week we are reading "Jordan Makes A New Friend" and "The Ice-Cold Birthday." There are writing assignments to be completed for each story. During Language Arts, we are reviewing suffixes/inflected endings as well as working with special combinations.../er, ir, ur/. We always work on writing complete sentences and using the proper capitalization and punctuation. In math, we will be working with fractions, graphing and measurement. In Science and Social Studies, we will continue to study about the rainforest.

As previously mentioned, on Friday, we will be taking our annual end of year field trip. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or email.
