Welcome to Resource!
My name is Julie Harris, and I am the Special Education teacher here at East Elementary. I love teaching Kindergarten and First Grade!
We do lots of hands-on activities using all types of manipulatives. We are a "pull-out" program; but the students do remain in their regular classrooms for most of the day.
The students that come to my room are admitted only by a special meeting called an ARD (Admission, Review and Dismissal) in which there are certain criteria, (such as a learning disability) they have to meet in order to qualify for special services. Therefore, I do not post pictures of the children on my webpage due to confidentiality. I may post some pictures from time to time of things we are doing in the classroom; but the children's faces will never be shown.
Just know that your children are getting lots of one-on-one and small group instruction in the areas that they are struggling.
I am so excited to be here in Breckenridge, Texas watching the children grow and succeed!
