I was born in a small mining community outside of Miami, Arizona. The hospital was a company facility in Inspiration, Arizona. I lived in two towns in West Texas, Lamesa and Midland, before my parents settled in Andrews when I was only 2 years old. Andrews was my home through school, college and my first 11 years as a teacher. I taught High School math until my family moved to Vega, Texas, where I began working as a an assistant principal at Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. We stayed there for 10 years then moved to Breckenridge to become Buckaroos.
As I was finishing up my undergraduate year at Angelo State, Angela Dalby accepted my propasal for marriage and we were married in August of 1989. We have two sons and a daughter. Ryley and Russell were both born in Andrews, and Sydney was born in Amarillo.
My college "career" began in Electrical Engineering at Midland College, I then transferred to Texas A & M (WHOOP!). My relationship with God is strong and he led me in to different direction. I transferred to Angelo State University and obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. After finishing at Angelo, I began teaching in Andrews. I then received my Master of Education degree at Sul Ross State University.
God has directed every path of my life and career and he has blessed me at each turn of my life. I am excited to start a new chapter of my life with my family in Breckenridge, Texas. |
