Computer Lab News

The 4th, 5th, and 6th graders come to Computer Lab two or three times weekly. In the Type To Learn 3 program, students work at their own pace. Father Time keeps track of their typing accuracy and speed as they travel through time. The students are introduced to new keys on each mission and do extra practice with Warp Speed and Windshield Typers activities. They stop along their travels to learn about key figures in History, type in their notebook, and even do some dictation. A chart will be sent home each month which shows the lessons they have mastered.
The classes are also using Microsoft Word to write stories and letters on Fridays. Remember to have your kids write thank-you notes and letters to family and friends. The little things you do with your children make such a positive difference in their lives.
