I graduated from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma in 1972 with a B.A. in English Education at the secondary education. My first teaching job was at St. John's working with very young children. I quickly realized that I loved working with the little ones! I taught preschool and kindergarten there for 23 years.
I took classes in early childhood education, but at that time very few classes were offered. After I had taken all that I could, I enrolled in graduate school. I received a MEd in elementary education in 1985, and was able to maintain a 4.0 grade point average.
I enjoyed graduate school, so I decided to take more classes. Iearned 23 post Master's hours with a 4.0 grade point average.
I came to Breckenridge ISD in 1999. I am currently teaching literacy with kindergarten students, which is an honor and a privilege. |
