The project that all Advanced English students will research and develop will be an all school Texas Festival. Students will be responsible for the research, construction, and overall success of the Festival. The festival will be held the first week of May. There will be several different areas for all students to be successful. Most of the areas are as follows: Costume, Entertainment, Decoration, Exhibits, Food/Drink, Publicity, and Historical Background. Each area will have a committee and a subcommittee which will be responsible for that area.
Some possible entertainment choices are Roping Exhibit, Cowboy Roping Presentation, Rodeo, Cowboy cooking, small animal petting zoo, soap-making demonstration, saddle/leather making demonstration, and other groups to be announced. These groups will all present at the Festival and will involve several students. |
