Specials are classes we have every week. We get to go to different classrooms and meet different teachers.
On Mondays and Thursdays, we go to the computer lab for computer class. Mrs. Spivey is the computer lab instructor. We are learning about the computer lab. We have started our computer program, Success Maker. We work hard in computer lab! We also love to play computer games!
On Tuesdays, Mrs. Everett, our fine arts teacher comes to our classroom. She teaches us about fine arts including art and music.
On Wednesdays, we go to the library. Mrs. Ponce is our librarian. She reads to us and teaches us all about the library. We are also able to check books out of the library to read at home. When we bring our books back the next week, we can pick another book.
On Wednesdays, we have a very special "special". Mrs. Brewer, the speech/language teacher at East Elementary, comes to our class and does a language activity to extend and enrich our study of the alphabet. She makes learning fun and helps to expand our vocabularies.
On Fridays, we will stay in the classroom, but we will have snacks as well as a special activity.
