I'm so glad to be teaching Second Grade at North Elementary! I am so excited to start a new year.
I graduated from Tarleton State University in 1993 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach Pre-K to 8th grade. I am specialized in Reading and English, but I really love to teach Math.
I am married and have two grown daughters. One daughter is a first grade teacher in Glenrose and the other daughter lives in Justin, Tx and has two children.

The first six weeks is here and I hope everyone is ready for a great year. Your child will have the opportunity to have new technolgy in their room. I am so excited to use my new Smart Board. It will take me a little while to learn how to use it, but I promise that I will try to learn everything I can and as quickly as I can. It will be awesome!!

This six weeks we will be doing addition and subtraction in Math. We have a new reading series and they will be doing a lot of reading everyday. In Science, we are starting out looking at what Science is and who is a Scientist. Social Studies will focus on our community. Your child will have homework each night of the week. You will have Reading and Spelling 4 nights and math 2 nights. Please help and look over all homework that your child brings home each day.
