My name is Molly Cate Peterson. I have been the principal at East Elementary since 2007. Before coming to East I was the Assistant Principal at Crowell Elementary in Crowell, Texas. I have taught Prekindergarten, Kindergarten,and first grade. I have also taught in the preschool program for children with disabilities (PPCD) and resource.

I received my degree from Texas Tech in 1981 and my masters in 1984. I received my principal's certification from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. My specialization is special education and reading.

East Elementary is all about children. You will hear me say that we are here "for the learning of the children, not the comfort of the adults". This means that decisions are made with children in mind.

I have an open door policy, but to guarantee time with me, please call the school to make an appointment. This will assure you that I am not in another meeting or in the classroom with the children. I look forward to working with you this year!
