ABSENCES AND TARDIES

It is vital that you are in this class; however, if you are absent YOU are responsible for getting the assignments from another student or the teacher. If you know you will be out for an extracurricular activity, let me know in advance so you can get the assignment ahead of time. Make-up work is your responsibility. If you are absent, you will have make-up work. If you leave early for any reason, you will still be expected to turn in your work on time. You may come in during tutorials, before, or after school to complete assignments. Make-up must be completed within 5 regular class days of excused absence (unless extenuating circumstances occur, i.e. lengthy illness). This must be discussed with the teacher. Unexcused absences may receive a grade of 0 on daily assignments. If you are tardy, you may have missed some important information. When you come in, quietly sign the tardy sheet and be seated.

Remember this is a work program class. If you are absent from school, you will not be permitted to go to work that day. Make sure you call your employer and teacher to inform them before 1st period. Not calling the teacher will result in 3 days in class d-hall starting at 7:50 a.m. for each day.
