The Square 1 Art packets with your child's stickers are here! I had a chance to look at many of them and they are really great! Please take the time to go through the packet and order some items with your child's original artwork on them! The students worked very hard and did such great work! Anything you buy benefits our local PTO, which is most appreciated.

This is an annnual PTO fundraiser for East Elementary. Your student has been working on an art piece for the past 3 weeks! We just finished, and parents will be receiving a packet all about the Square 1 Art in about 3 weeks. Each student will receive a FREE set of stickers of their personal artwork ! There are lots of really neat items that you can purchase with your student's art on it. Be sure to look through the packet.

On Friday , October 30, the Kindergartneers had a "fall festival" on the last day of our "Red Ribbon Week" ! Studnets wore their favorite Halloween shirts, made picture frames, went on a hayride and many other fun things!

Even Ellie, Mrs. Dempsey's dog dressed up for the occasion!

1st graders drew a still-life and added color to it.

Kindergarteners drew lines on their paper with a ruler, then colored a "rainbow" of colors with markers.

...then painted a red heart, cut it out, glued it on their "rainbow" of color and put their name on the heart!

Welcome to all of our new students and ALL of our returning students!
I am excited to tell you that Fine Arts will be held in a classroom this year! Fine Arts is located in Room 6, down the 1st grade hall, and I would love for you to stop by and see what we are working on!

This is my 3rd year to be back at East Elementary teaching Fine Arts after being gone for 5 years from teaching. I am excited to see all of the returning students and meet the new ones! I will be teaching the 1st graders on Tuesdays and the Kindergarten on Thursdays.
I have lived in Breckenridge since I was 6 years old. I am married to Jim Everett, and we have 6 children, and 2 son-in-laws!
I look forward to teaching your child art, music and drama! It's going to be a wonderful school year!

I also teach the art workshops at the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center for children and students ages 4- 6th grade.

Some of our students at East Elementary attended the art camp this past summer. They learned about ancient Egyptian art. It was lots of fun!
