Dear students and parents:
I am looking forward to having your child in my class! Below you will find a course outline for Chemistry this 2009-2010 school year.
Classroom Rules
1. While I am speaking, you are quiet.
2. Do no harm. (No pinching, poking, prodding, moving chairs out from under each other, and especially, no wiping chemicals on each other!) Any goofing around in lab by any student will result in the permanent removal of that student, which is in accordance with state guidelines for lab safety.
3.Come to class prepared and on time. (This means bring your book, homework and pen, pencil, etc.)
4.If ye mess it up, ye shall clean it up.
5.We will not make fun of anyone in this classroom for any reason-ever. Bullying will not be tolerated!
6.All rules in the student handbook will be observed in this class.
Grading Procedures
Daily work/Homework 25%, Six Week Tests 25%, Projects/Labs 25%, Tests 25%
(Test will be made up at teacher’s convenience and will not be the same test. Labs will be made up after school.)
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. The school number is 559-2231. My home number is 254-647-3637. My conference period is from 2:05-2:50. I will available to assist your child from 8:00-8:20 AM or after school until 5:00. I am really looking forward to working with you and your child this semester. Let’s have a great year!!!

2. I also acknowledge that I/ my child is responsible for replacing any textbook, lab equipment, or classroom equipment that is lost, or purposely with intent, broken or destroyed.
